Retreat to the simplicity and stillness of NorthShore GuestHouse located less than one mile from the Marion
Reservoir in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. NorthShore provides lodging to only one party at a time, with
your
friendly hosts next door. Since NorthShore is barely visible from the host house, guest privacy is
assured. Last week our Minnesota hunter got a
"buck of a lifetime" while staying with us. Scroll down to the
bottom of the page for pics and more of the story.
We are
surrounded by Wildlife and Parks property with over 6,000 acres for public use. Hunting, fishing,
water sports,
birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding, and bicycling are some of the activities you can enjoy in
our area. Come on out and enjoy the quiet country landscape on the deck or around the fire ring in the back
acreage.
If you have the energy we provide guided hiking tours from October until mid April in the Wildlife
and Parks areas.
NorthShore GuestHouse is located in Marion County, Kansas and is a great place to experience country life,
enjoy a family reunion, or to use as a wildlife lookout point. There are great places to walk right at hand to
meander down.
NorthShore is also the perfect place for Girlfriend getaways, Mancations, or Babymoons. If
you are looking for a cozy romantic hideaway,  you can be completely alone with the one you love here.

The Fabulous Four
The house and hospitality were splendid in every way! We were able to walk, talk, laugh, sit around the
campfire for smores & hot dogs and totally relax. Charlie and Lynn are the best hosts! This is truly their
calling.

Southeast Missouri Hunters
Hunting was great! Perfect location and hospitality. Can't wait to come back next year.

Kylie from Nebraska
I came to NorthShore in to find rest & relaxation with the Lord, which is exactly what I found. It is so
peaceful here away from the stress of the city. I especially enjoy the nature walk with Lynn, my host. Thanks
for your hospitality and making this a home away from home.

From Dan from Oklahoma
Great place to stay; made the work trip seem like a vacation. Haven't had breakfasts this good in a long time.
Hope to visit again.

John & Sheri from McPherson, Kansas
This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the solitude, quiet walks to the lake at
sunset, the peaceful cup of tea on the deck. The special touches – plants, cookies, flowers and breakfast were
wonderful. We will be back!

From Brad and Jennifer, Arkansas:
This has been a great place for our family to stay over the holidays. The house was very clean and comfortable.
We hope NorthShore is available next time we visit Marion; we'll be greatly disappointed if we have to stay
somewhere else. It's hard to find places nowadays that are as quiet and peaceful as it is here.
Some antlers we found
in our field; the coin in

A few years ago we found some large antlers in our field so we took a picture of them and put them on the green border on this page. If
you look above and to the right you can see that picture. The points on the buck's antlers on the left side of the photo above are a very
close match to the antlers that we found in our field. We are fairly confident that our Minnesota hunters, pictured above, got the same
large buck who shed his antlers in our field year before last. It was the one they were looking for. They also got another large buck to boot
so they were pretty darn cheerful.
